Tom Grossmann was elected County Commissioner in 2014 and previously served as a Mason City Councilman for 12 years.
Tom graduated in 1979 with a B.A. in Political Science from Miami University, and in 1982 he earned a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He has practiced law since 1992. He was a partner at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP for 27 years; was Assistant General Counsel for one of Italy’s largest company, Montedison S.p.A. for six years, while living in Milan, Italy; and was Hamilton County’s assistant prosecutor in the civil division for 10 years.
Tom has served as chairman of the Warren County Republican Party and is currently on its Central and Executive Committees. He has also been on the boards of Citizens for Community Values and the Boy Scouts and was on the board of the Atrium Medical Center for six years. Tom is a member of Area Progress Council and Grace Chapel, where has served as an elder and Sunday school teacher.
Tom enjoys skiing, cycling, chess, and reading, particularly political and religious works. He and his wife Kathy have six children.
