Learning, Earning and Parenting (LEAP) is a special program through the Department of Human Services that is designed to assist teen parents or pregnant teens to graduate from high school or to obtain a high school equivalence diploma (GED). The teen parent or pregnant teen must be an Ohio Works First (OWF) recipient who must enroll in or remain in a program that will lead to a high school diploma or GED. Financial incentives are provided to help LEAP teens graduate or obtain their GED. Support services such as child care, transportation and food stamps are also available. A case manager will work with the teens on a one on one basis to assist them with any problems they encounter.
